FEP resin is a melt-processible copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene .
The customerized twin-screw extruder for FEP granulation simplifies production process, as well as saving production costs, and avoiding the high pollution, high costs, and high equipment investment associated with conventional oxygen fluorination treatment.
FEP powder is oxidized and extruded into granules in the dedicated twin-screw extruder, with volatile content below 0.1%. Unstable end groups are effectively removed, resulting in excellent product performance. At the same time, the selection and processing of the barrel take into account corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and cost-effectiveness.
The compounding process, independently of pressure build-up, filtration and shaping, is optimized for the best possible results in terms of quality and throughput.
